For many residents, visiting Ashbury Heights is love at first sight, as the neighborhood provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of urban San Francisco. Known as a primarily residential community, Ashbury Park features a low-key crowd with narrow streets. It is found on the top of a hill, and the neighborhood is situated between Buena Vista Park and Cole Valley. Public transportation is limited here, so bring your car or bike, or be prepared to walk around.
 
Some of the largest and most distinguished houses can be found in Ashbury Heights, although more affordable residences are also available. These include Victorians and classic Edwardians, some of which are fully detached. There is also a scattering of apartment buildings and duplexes. Residents enjoy the quiet, leisurely pace that the neighborhood offers, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more peaceful community.
