Outer Sunset

Outer Sunset
If you appreciate quiet subdivisions, large homes, and convenient access to the beach, be sure to check out the Outer Sunset district. This residential oasis offers a quiet place to live without the hustle and bustle of big city San Francisco. Most of the homes are post-WWII constructions, and developer Henry Doelger is responsible for many of the simple and practical designs.  While the area can be quite foggy, this characteristic doesn’t take away from the neighborhood’s prime beachfront location.

There are many interesting places to visit in Outer Sunset. Irving Street is lined with bars, restaurants, stores, and cafes. Other popular restaurants are located along the beach at Ocean Avenue, including the Cliff House and Beach Chalet Brewery. Judah and Noriega Streets also offer plenty of ethnic restaurants and small businesses, making the area a perfect place to spend a warm Saturday afternoon.
