Van Ness/Civic Center
The Van Ness/Civic Center neighborhood is one of San Francisco’s true urban regions, featuring a mix of high-rise apartments and Victorian flats. Offering an eclectic cultural mix, you can find older condos from the 70s and 80s on Van Ness, and newer housing complexes are located at Pacific Place and Marquee Lofts. The neighborhood is bordered by Hayes Valley, and residents can easily access other parts of the city via light rail, BART, or bus. 
 
The Van Ness/Civic Center district is centrally located and surrounded by activity. The gold-domed city hall is located here, as is the renowned Asian Art Museum. You can also enjoy all the best performance arts venues in the city, including the ballet and symphony. Residents rush to food trucks that park at the UN Plaza, and the area is known for its “Off the Grid” rotating food markets. A great place to eat, work, and play, the Civic Center District is an excellent place to check out if you are relocating to San Francisco.
