Twin Peaks, the neighborhood named after its two prominent hills, is located in the geographic center of San Francisco. A major part of the land in the area had to be terraced, with many street names – such as Villa Terrace and Graystone Terrace – reflecting that practice. The neighborhood is often characterized by great views and easy access to the city’s popular hiking spots – the Twin Peaks and Glen Canyon Parks. Twin Peaks offers a great mix of low-rise apartment and condo complexes, single-family homes, and Victorians. There are many housing options, with many modern, boxy homes and apartment buildings from the 1950s and 1960s.
