North Beach is a lively neighborhood located in the upper northeast part of San Francisco, nestled between the city’s financial district, Chinatown, and Russian and Telegraph Hills. It was first settled by Italian immigrants in the 1870s and is nicknamed “Little Italy” until this day. With all its buzzing bistros, affable coffee shops, and charismatic bars – centered around Columbus Avenue – the neighborhood maintains a unique and authentic spirit.
When climbing up Filbert Street all the way to Coit Tower, one can enjoy great panoramic views and see unique WPA-era murals.
